ZEALOUS, a global platform that facilitates the discovery of creative talent, has opened submissions for ‘Zealous X’, a four day event at Bargehouse, Southbank to celebrate the talent of 100 artists from across the country.
The free event which runs from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December, will showcase creativity in all its forms featuring work from across five main categories; art, film, photography, music and performance.

Submissions across the five categories are now open to UK residents. Entries will go through a selection process on the Zealous platform, culminating with a final vote from an independent panel of judges; including Nirvana photographer Steve Double, Clive Lyttle from Arts Council England, comedian Andi Osho and Maggie Cunningham, former head of programming at BBC Scotland.

Zealous X aims to give artists greater visibility by providing them with a platform to display their work. The event will also give the public and insight into the artists’ journeys with a series of talks by industry experts on the creative economy and the future of the industry.

Guy Armitage, the founder of Zealous, commented “Zealous X is a great way to raise the profile of the UK’s creative talent and give the public access to creativity that may not have been previously explored.”
He continues, “The creative sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK, employing more than two million people and representing ten per cent of the UK’s exports. More needs to be done to support the UK’s emerging creative talent which is why Zealous X is so vital for the future of Britain.”

Zealous was founded by entrepreneur Guy Armitage to help artists find their audience. The global platform empowers individual artists by giving them a unified space to share their work, collaborate and build their personal brand. The platform is free to use and open to anyone across the world, whether artist or consumer, to connect people and give them the opportunity to discover work and the talent behind it.

Mateus Bailon, a street artist from Brazil, who uses Zealous says, “Through Zealous, I’ve connected and collaborated with creatives from all over the world. That’s the great thing about the platform. As an artist, it’s really important to have a tool like Zealous so you can meet other creatives and start new projects together. There’s nothing else out there like Zealous in the way that it puts creative people together.”

To enter, simply register on www.zealous.co and submit your work to Zealous X. The deadline for submissions is 25th October, and successful applicants will be notified by 1st November.
