Dark-pop outfit Strangers are set to release their new EP on 18th July through Stranger Sounds. Produced by stalwart remixer and producer Glen Nicholls, who has previously worked with the likes of Depeche Mode, Prodigy and Snow Patrol, EP2 features three haunting tracks which echoes the ethereal synth sounds of the 80’s, with pounding rhythms and soaring soundscapes.

Formed in 2010, Strangers is the brainchild of David Maddox-Jones, formerly of The Departure. Their previous EP – aptly titled EP1 was a free download and received a welcoming reaction from across the industry with the lead track hitting the airwaves of several national radio stations.

In addition to the digital release of EP2, Strangers will release a limited edition 7inch single, through Killing Moon Records on 4th July, featuring the lead tracks from EP1 and EP2, ‘It Was a Sin’ and ‘If I Found Love’.

A remix of ‘It Was a Sin’ from Forgold (Foe, The Milk, Pete Lawrie) is available to download from the Killing Moon.

The band will perform tracks from both EP’s on 13th July at The Wheelbarrow, Camden.

Check out the Born Strangers website for more information. Alternatively, a sneak-peek into their sound can be seen on their latest Born Strangers video.
